I am currently training as a psychotherapist through the Australia and New Zealand Association for Psychotherapy (ANZAP). This is a three-year, in-depth training in the Conversational Model of psychotherapy.
Conversational Model psychotherapy is particularly helpful for people who have moderate to significant struggles with their mental and emotional wellbeing, including those who have experienced developmental or complex trauma. You can find a downloadable brochure with more information here.
Training in the Conversational Model leads to registration with the Psychotherapists Board of Aotearoa New Zealand and membership of the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists. While I'm training, I am a Student Member of ANZAP and governed by its Code of Ethics, and all my client work is closely supervised by senior registered psychotherapists.
Individual psychotherapy sessions are currently available via videocall or phone.
I will be offering sessions again in Christchurch and Rangiora once government restrictions on meeting face-to-face are lifted.
While I'm training, my fees are negotiable - if you are on a benefit or low income, or your income has been affected by Covid-19, we can work out what is affordable for you. Please contact me to book a time for an initial conversation to discuss how we might work together.
